Romero Britto
This is Romero Britto, he is a Brazilian artist and sculptor. He mixes elements of cubism, pop art and graffiti to create bright, vibrant, bold works of art. His intention is to express hope and happiness through his art. His bright patterns and simple but effective ideas allows for lots of scope for creating your own works of art.
Here are some examples of his work, you can use the ideas to help create art of your own.
To Make Your Own Britto Style Artwork You Will Need:
Paper, pencils and pens
Step One:
Start by drawing a simple shape, we used a heart but you could try a square, circle, diamond or any shape you like.
Step Two:
Go over your shape with a black pen or pencil, making sure the line is quite thick and dark.
Step Three:
Add some additional thick, black lines to break up the shape into sections. You can have as many as you want, whatever shape you like.
Step Four:
Fill in the sections with brightly coloured Britto inspired patterns.
You can then let your imagination run wild - what can you create?
