This term in maths, we will learn about place value, adding, subtracting, area, multiplication and division. As always, we need to ensure we know all our times tables up to 12 x 12 for rapid recall, so please practise these at home in order to help out in other areas of maths.
Our science topic this term is electricity, where we will learn all about staying safe around electricity as well as build our own electrical circuits. Later on, we will link our new knowledge to DT where we will be designing and making our very own torches! It would be very helpful if you could start collecting some empty pringle tubes for us (lids included please).
English starts off by looking at and then writing our own non-chronological reports followed by Greek myths. We then move on to performance poetry and instructions.
In PSHE, we will cover the topics Being me in my World as well as Celebrating Differences. As always, we also learn about tolerance, diversity, equality, democracy and respect.
Our history topic takes us back to Ancient Greece where we find out all about the first Olympics, different ways of life, how schools, clothes and diets were different to ours. We also explore how we know all this information about Ancient Greece.
We are a bit closer to home for geography where we look at the British Isles alongside working on our atlas and globe skills.
Art focuses on Ancient Greece where we design and then make our own Grecian urns and look at Greek buildings and architecture.
RE endeavours to answer two questions..."Where do Christian beliefs come from?" and "What do we mean by truth - is seeing believing?".

In computing, the children will learn about online safety, hardware investigators, AI and animation.
