  • Sock Monsters

In Science, we made our own sock monsters! We were learning about materials and the children had to select appropriate materials to use to create a sock monster – including what to stuff it with! The children explored various options for the stuffing of their toys including:

    - plastic beads

    - metal cars

    - wooden blocks

    - fabric stuffing

The children felt each option and decided which was best for a sock monster toy.

This activity also links with our D.T. learning as we had to learn how to turn a 2D sock into a 3D toy!

Can you look through the photos and find your sock monster?
