Joining Meadgate Primary School
If you are interested in sending your child to our school, please contact the school office and arrange to visit us. We'd be very pleased to meet you and show you around. For the last few years we have been oversubscribed so you will need to ensure that if you really would like a place at Meadgate you put us down as first choice.
If you are looking for a reception place for the coming September 2024 intake, we are holding two open afternoons, on 15th November and 24th November, where prospective parents can visit our school and meet the staff team. Please contact the school office for more information.
Parents who required a place at Meadgate Primary School should contact the school admissions team for more information and to complete an on-line application.
If you are refused a place at our school, you should contact Essex County Council who will assist in securing a school place for your child.

Admission into our school
If you are looking to join Meadgate Primary School from another school, from April 1st 2022 you must apply direct to the school and not to the Local Authority. Please use the application form below and return it to admissions@meadgate.essex.sch.uk or admin@meadgate.essex.sch.uk.
For applications into existing year groups, a place will be offered when the number of pupils in the relevant year group is below the admission number for that year group.
Please note that if a mid-year application is received during a school holiday period, we will respond as soon as possible when the school reopens.
